Faculty: Pisciotta

Welcome Back Message

We'd like to take this opportunity to wish our 7th Grade Students and their families a belated "Welcome Back to School", and share with you some of the awesome changes and improvements that have been made since last school year! This year, each grade has been divided into two different "families" of teachers and students. One family features the excellent line-up of Mr. Jenkins (Life Science), Ms. Izenberg (Language Arts), Ms. Ortega (Mathematics) and Mr. Packman (World History), and the other equally amazing family of teachers includes Ms. Pisciotta (Life Science), Ms. Sindorf (Language Arts), Ms. Yoo (Mathematics), and Mr. Long (World History).

Our 7th Grade faculty come from a variety of different professional and academic backgrounds, and all share a commitment to keeping an "open door" policy of parent-teacher-student communication. Things have been going very smoothly so far, with many of the students visibly excited about being back together with their friends once again, and gearing up for a strong, successful first semester.

This year all 7th Grade classrooms are in one wing of the building (The "30" Wing), and students are enjoying improvements that were made to the hallways and classrooms. This summer, 19 very dedicated, motivated, and mature young men from the 7th grade worked with several faculty and staff members as part of the "Ambassadors Club", and re-painted each classroom in the building. They also painted each classroom door bright red, and outlined each doorway in black, proudly displaying our school colors to all that come visit. If we had to describe the overall mood and atmosphere of the 7th grade so far in three words or less, "PSYCHED UP!!!" would be the way to go! At the end of the year, our students will be only one grade away from high school, and we'll be working hard to prepare ourselves the challenges of 8th grade and beyond!
