The first two weeks of school have been exciting ones for our two seventh grade families. For the first week of school, teachers let students know exactly what we expect, behaviorally and academically. We introduced students to our new in-class binders, which are helping students to organize their homework and class work more than ever before!
Now that the year is underway, there's lots to learn. In Science, Ms. Pisciotta and Mr. Jenkins are discovering just what makes us call something a living thing! For Ms. Izenberg and Ms. Sindorf, over in the English department, students wrote poems to describe their goals for the year, and will soon be writing an essay in which they express themselves through symbols. If your child is in Mr. Long's class, ask what he or she knows about primary sources, or for Mr. Packman's class, see what's going on with geography! Of course, in Math, Ms. Ortega and Ms. Yoo are keeping the homework flowing, 5 days a week. There's lots to learn, and we're looking forward to a wonderful year.
