General PTSA Meeting -- Tues., Oct 17.
Plan to attend the 1st general PTSA meeting of the year on Tuesday, October 17. The meeting will start with some brief board business at 6:30 p.m. Around 7:00 p.m., the general meeting will begin. The feature presentation/discussion will be "How to Communicate with your Pre-Teens and Teens", led by Mary and Brian Stein-Webber, parents of a Brewer 7th grader and a college freshman. Besides their hands-on parenting experience, Mary and Brian have counseled others professionally for many years. Mary is a licensed marriage and family therapist, with particular emphasis on depression, anxiety and trauma. Brian is the executive director of the Interfaith Council of Contra Costa County. Both Brian and Mary are Lutheran pastors. Bring your questions, concerns and ideas -- this is sure to be an interesting evening.
