This Spring Break, a group of students are going to Costa Rica with Ms. Omawale. The students are very excited about the trip and are looking forward to learning about the culture and language.
The students are trying to raise funds for the trip to offset the cost. They have been selling pizza in the courtyard and the front of the school, every Friday, after school. It would help a lot of the students pay for the cost of the trip. Ms. Omawale is looking for helpers, so the pizza sale can be done at lunch and on more days. Donations, volunteers, or support is very much appreciated.
I interviewed a very eager student going on the trip. His name is Sam. I asked Sam if he was excited and what he expected to learn from the trip. He responded “I am enthralled about going, I would love to see foreign land and culture and I am expecting to learn about the culture of Costa Rica.” Sam is very willing to help out and support the fund.
Every Friday, you would see Sam and Adrian running up and down the halls of Edna Brewer, trying to sell pizza and are usually very successful. Adrian is a big supporter and volunteers anytime he can. I asked him the same questions. He responded “Yes, because I’ve been to Japan and I would like to go to new places, I want to learn more Spanish and I’m very excited about the trip” Adrian is extremely supportive of the fund and has his heart set on going to Costa Rica.
Then there is Cameron. He helps out every Friday as well. When I asked him the questions, he answered “Yes, because I’m going to be in another country for nine days, I’m expecting to learn more Spanish and culture” I asked him how he is feeling about going on the trip. He told me, with a smile “Too many to explain” He seemed very happy about the trip.
Please help the Costa Rica Fund! All the students will appreciate it and will forever be grateful. Thank you for taking your time to read this article!
