OPINION: There Should Be Homework Help Online

Homework help Online.

I think that there should be homework help online because many kids are using the computer at home and sometimes they don’t do their homework, so maybe they can do both to keep up with their homework. Also, if other students are behind, they can get help from teachers to get a passing grade. Sometimes, kids cannot go to after school programs, so if they need help on homework, they should be able to check onto our web for homework help?  Finally, they may also want to email teachers for help.  For these reasons, I think there should be homework help online.

So, I went to get a couple interviews from a few people to see what is their opinion about Homework Help online. These were our main questions:

Would you like to have homework help online?  Why?

Would you even go onto our web for homework help? Why or why not?

I believed that most of the kids would probably say, “Yes.”  I think they would because it can help them keep track or find out how to do the problems. Here are the results of the interviews:

Interviewee #1: Betty

Now this is a 7^th grader Edna Brewer Panther and she is Betty.  I asked her for an interview and she was very delighted.  She answered nicely and very honest.  Her exact quote was…“Yes, I’d love to have homework help online.” I think that if people use the homework help I guess that she could be keeping track of what people are doing in school.“Most of the people who have homework are in the other family and I use the computer a lot. Yes, I would go onto our web and check out the homework help.” Also since many kids do go online and use the Internet for many reasons, they can check on their homework and more. So I think that Betty is very honest about the Internet part.

Interviewer #2: Stephanie

This is also a 7^th grader girl and her name is Stephanie.  I asked if I could interview her, and she looked a little annoyed by me. I guess she would be interested in homework help. “Yes. I would. I would like to have homework help online because I can see if I’m on track doing the work right.” Then she quoted that she would like homework help because “Yes, if I don’t get something I will check the homework help.” I’m guessing that Stephanie really would like to have homework help online because it can help her keep organized!

Interviewer #3: Amy

I interviewed her also and she was pretty average with the interview. I asked her, and she responded respectfully.  She did want the homework help saying, “Yeah…I would want homework help.” Her reason why she would like the homework help is because, “If I don’t know the answers, I could check it.” Also I think that it will keep others on track easily.

Interviewer #4: Yan

When I asked her, she kept her answers really quick and simple.  She seemed to like the idea of homework help but she seemed annoyed at the time so… she said, “Yes. I would because I would want to check my answers.  Maybe I would check the web…” I think that she was very honest with her answers. So I think she feels average about the homework help, unless she really needs help with her homework, and then she’ll check it.

Interview #5: Earvin

And finally, the last person I interviewed was a 7^th grader boy Panther from Edna brewer and he was agreeable at the start. Then he became very honest. He said that he would and his quote was, “Yes it would help a lot.” A lot of people said they would, but on the next question I was surprised: he was really honest, saying, “ No, I like doing my homework alone. Maybe, sometimes when I need it…”   I am really happy about the truth from him although from others it maybe true also.

     In conclusion, I guess that most kids in the school would like homework help online, but I guess some don’t want it.  And I also think that the kids who don’t need help on their homework are smart!  But I guess that some just like doing their homework alone without help.
