Winter break is almost here! School is out at winter break, so a lot of students might go on a vacation to other parts of the country or world. Mostly, some people might just be staying home playing video game and watching T.V. Well, we don’t know what they will do, that’s why I interviewed some students from Edna Brewer Middle School. They will tell us some things they might do over the winter break.
Here are what some students had to say about this. Spencer, a 7th grader said, “I’m going to play on the computer, watch T.V, draw, and eat." I asked him if he was going to any places and here is what he said, “Yes, I’m going down to southern California to see my relatives." I also asked what special food was he going to eat on his winter break and he said, “I’m going to eat chicken, beef, mashed potatoes, corn, and whatever else I can get my hands on.”
Feng, another 7th grader stated, “I’m going back to China. I’m also going to set up a lot of fireworks.” Andrew, another 7th grader, mentioned, “I am going to stay home and sleep.” I asked him if he were to go anywhere for the break and he said, “I might go to Lake Tahoe where I can relax and sleep peacefully.” I also asked him what he was going to eat at winter break. He answered in Cantonese, “ I’m going to go Sik Fon, which means I’m going to eat rice.”
Earvin a student from the 30-wing said, ‘I’m going to the store to buy some new video games, I might get the WII the new video game system, and I might go to my friends house to play video games." I asked him if he was to go anywhere but his friend’s house and he said, “I am going to my godfather’s house." He also said what he was going to eat, “It depends on what my mom cooks, I might eat tamales, soup, or burritos.”
Well, we now know what students from Edna Brewer Middle School might do at winter break. Mostly, they are just going to be with their families and eat. On the other hand some students just like to stay home, eat, play video games, or go places with their families.
