New semester, New Year, new goals, and new opinions!
First semester is over?? No, it’s not over yet. Although the first semester is over, there will always be a new semester. The 2nd semester will be harder and will be more challenging. Teachers are getting you ready for the final test at the end of the year. So, if there’s a new semester, there are always new goals, new resolutions, and new opinions! Let’s find out what others think about it.
As the reporter I will ask 5 main questions, and of course they will be of others opinions and not of mine. These were our main question:
What are your feelings towards the end of the first semester?
What are your feelings towards the 2nd semester?
Do you have new goals for the 2nd semester? What are they?
What are your resolutions for your goals?
Do you think you’ll like the next semester?
Interview #1: Tori
First I interviewed a 7th grader girl named Tori. She was nice enough to answer me on my question. I asked her the 1st question and she said, “My feelings toward the end of the semester is to pass algebra and do better in all classes.”She also felt the same way when I asked the second question, she wanted to do better in algebra and all her other classes. Her had a few goals and she said they were “Private new goals”.Too do her new goals her resolution to help her is to “Too do better in every aspect.” She did say she’d like the next semester her quote was “Yes I think I will like the next semester because it’s going closer to our graduation.” From her opinion she had a good opinion about the following semester.
Interview #2: Cathy
Second I interviewed a 7th grader named Cathy. She felt happy about the first semester ending. “I’m happy because it’s a semester gone.” She said quite happily. She had an average feeling for the new semester because “Sometimes stressful because teachers give out a lot of work.” Like others she had goals also “Yes I have new goals and they are to get better grades and passing 7th grade.” And her resolution is “Work harder, studying more, and pay more attention in class.” She has no opinion about the new semester because “I don’t know if I will like the next semester, because it might be harder and will be more harder.” She seems to have a nice opinion about the new semester!
Interview #3: Sam
And finally I interviewed a 7th grader boy named Sam. He had a quite interesting opinion about the next semester. He wishes to do better in algebra and get good grades like everyone else. “I hope to get good grades and do better in algebra.” Like everyone else he also has new goals. His goals are “To get A’s in all my classes and not to get tardy.” His resolutions however are also like everyone else “Maybe I can wake up early and studying harder.” Will he like the next semester? “Yes, because I get Mr. Packman for 1st period. And in his opinion he seemed happy about the next semester.
In conclusion, the kids that I interviewed have a nice opinion about the next semester. They seem to all have the same goals and almost the same resolutions. So I think that maybe the next semester we can get their opinions of how it was for their 2nd semester. Overall I think they may have a great new semester and they will try to reach their goals and maybe even reach it!
